Camlica Tower

The tower is located on Çamlica hill in the district of Üsküdar, at one of the highest points of the city offering spectacular views. Camlica Tower is the tallest building in Istanbul, the new Istanbul icon and a new landmark of Turkey's tourist attractions. The tower is 369 meters (1,211 feet) tall and stands 583.5 meters above the sea level. Its concrete body is 221 meters in length and then there is 168 meters of antenna. As of now it's also the tallest radio-tv tower in Europe.

Designed by Architect Melike Altinisik, the construction of this huge telecommunications tower started in March 2016 and was inaugurated in May 2021. Before the construction, there were a total of 28 antennas on the hill and now all of these radio transmitters are gathered on a single structure. There are facilities such as an observation deck on the 33rd and 34th floors and a cafe & restaurant on the 39th and 40th floors, offering unique views of the both banks of the Bosphorus. The tower also features exhibition spaces and a panoramic elevator.

You can reach Camlica Tower by taking a ferry from the European side to the Asian side and then a taxi. A new subway line is also being built to connect to existing public transportation lines. The tower can be visited between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM every day.
